Insulation Snakes® manufactures an extensive line of removable, reusable weather proof insulation products. Our products are widely used in the oilfield and underneath manufactured homes (trailers) to insulate the water and sewer lines. All of our insulation products are compatable with electric heat trace.

Insulation Snakes® products are manufactured using formaldehyde free (non-toxic) white fiberglass insulation which is manufactured using 40% - 60% post-consumer recycled glass. When tested, our products have recovered to an R-13 insulation value. Recovery of fiberglass insulation deteriorates over time while it is compressed in a roll. That is why Insulation SnakesŪ states on our product bags a manufactured date. All rolled fiberglass insulation should be installed 2 years or less after manufactured date.

The 6 ml polyethylene exterior sheathing of Insulation Snakes® products is manufactured using a virgin blend of polyethylene (not recycled), giving it excellent puncture and tear resistance. Extra UV protection is added during the manufacturing process to increase the life of our products. The polyethylene sheathing will soften when temperatures exceed 220°F (104°C). The blue polyethylene bags that we ship our products in also have extra UV protection added during the manufacturing process, allowing for temporary outside storage. Our products utilize a nickel plated, quick release, thumb grip, steel buckle which allows for quick and easy removal and installation even in cold weather or wet and dirty conditions.
